I am an experimental/explorative artist who paints in watercolour and acrylic. I also use these mediums in conjunction with ink, oil pastel and collages to explore an idea or to express my emotional response to a subject. I often go through a number of phases in the painting process before I finally get to the mood or statement I feel best expresses what I wish to convey. My passion is experimenting with the media and finding meaning in the result (usually several layers later); the unconscious painting being my guide to what the painting wants to be. I work in both representational and abstract styles.
