Artists & Artisans is a directory celebrating and promoting the work of artists and artisans based in the Municipality of the District of Chester. Located on Nova Scotia's the South Shore, the area has been a long-time summer destination for Americans and others who enjoy its lifestyle rich culture and heritage that is reflected in the diversity of works you'll see here.

The directory is an endeavour of the Chester Municipal Heritage Society (CMHS) whose mandate is to promote and cultivate awareness of the unique heritage of our community. It reflects our commitment by helping to showcase the talents of creative residents and promote them via the internet. Do take a few minutes to browse around and we promise that you'll discover treasures as colourful and unique as those who create them!

You might also be interested in the work of Artists & Artisans from the Past. Have a look at the society's database that lists artists and artisans who once lived and were inspired by the lifestyle and natural beauty here. Many of them were also summer residents who returned year after year to enjoy a relaxed life in rural Nova Scotia.

Or perhaps you're an artist or artisan living here and haven't included your listing? Do take a few minutes to look over the directory and think about getting involved by filling out the registration form. It costs you nothing to help in the promotion of your work.
